Shipping questions

What is the timeframe for orders to be processed?

All orders are processed and shipped from our business HQ on the Central Coast, Australia.

Orders placed before 12noon are processed and shipped within 24 hours Monday to Friday.

Public holidays, sale periods and the like may take a little longer and we appreciate your patience in these instances.

How long does it take to ship my order?

We ship with Australia Post and delivery times are an estimation only.

  • Generally standard shipping is 3-7 business days.
  • Express shipping 1-2 business days

We cannot be held liable for the time frames of Aus Post, these are their general time frames for delivery.

Orders

Can I amend my order?

If your order has not been processed you may be able to change your order by contacting our customer support team at hello@olivejames.com.au

We will only be able to confirm order change requests upon email receipt. Unfortunately, if your order has been processed we are unable to make changes.

Can I cancel my order?

All sales are final once processed in our system.

Once an order has been processed we cannot cancel or make changes to it.

I have included the wrong address when placing my order, what do I do?

If you have entered the wrong address please contact hello@olivejames.com.au immediately with the correct information. Flag the email urgent if you can. 

Unfortunately, if your order has been processed and shipped we are unable to change the address because it’s making its way to you. We don’t refund or resend the order in these instances. 

Orders that are ‘Returned To Sender’ due to not being claimed, or for incorrect addresses, re-delivery charges will apply. 

Returns questions

 I received a faulty/damaged item.

We do our best to ensure this doesn’t happen, however if you do receive a damaged or faulty item we are more than happy to replace it within 7 days of delivery.
Email hello@olivejames.com.au and include a picture of the faulty item, unworn/not used.

An item is not deemed faulty if damaged while wearing item.

What Our Warranty Covers (and What It Doesn't)

Our warranty provides coverage for damage or breakage.

However, this does not include any discoloration, such as tarnishing that may occur from exposure to cleaning chemicals, perfume or lotions.

Our gold, silver and pearl and beaded jewellery comes with a 6-month warranty.

Caring for Your Jewellery: Tips and Tricks

It is important to take care of your jewellery to keep it looking its best. Here are some tips to help you preserve the gold plating on your plated jewellery:

Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

Wait until any lotions are completely absorbed into your skin before putting on your gold-plated accessories after showering. Certain products can cause changes in colour or texture when in contact with gold-plating.

Apply perfume before putting on your jewellery, as perfume chemicals can react with the metal and cause a change in appearance. Avoid spraying the perfume directly onto your jewels.

Remember to treat your jewellery with love. When not wearing it, store it in its original pouch or box. To keep your pieces looking their best, gently polish the surface with a polishing cloth. Additionally, remove your jewellery when applying scents, lotions, and sprays.
